This signed limited edition print of only 50 it is printed on A3+ archival quality paper. The size is 19" x 13" (483mm x 329mm)
I was inspired to paint this picture after hearing the tragic story of Thandi & Themba who were attacked by poachers in the Kariega Game reserve in South Africa in 2012. They were darted and had their horns brutally hacked off. Amazingly Thandi the female survived and was given pioneering skin grafts and incredibly she made a full recovery even surprising everyone by giving birth to a healthy female calf which was named Thembi, which means Hope. I painted this picture of a mother and calf under the full moon and called it “Beware the Full Moon” as this is a time when the poachers often hunt these wonderful animals. This is a Limited Edition Print of only 50 for which the proceeds go towards Helping Rhinos.
