This year has been a really good one for butterflies so far, and as I have been able to spend more time than usual out walking and in my garden, which is where I have been watching these beautiful bright tortoiseshell butterflies enjoying the scabious flowers, which I love to grow as apart from being pretty, the insects love them. So, I felt inspired to do a painting of them and have added a honey bee and seven-spot ladybird to the picture which I have done in watercolour. Hopefully soon, my new book "The Beauty of Butterflies" will be published, I was hoping to have this ready in the spring, but everything was put on hold for a while during lock-down. As soon as it is here I shall be sure to let you know!
